Laser Hair Removal
Hair tends to grow in areas of our bodies where we would rather not have it. Whether you are a man or woman, you’re probably tired of having to shave, pluck, and wax these unwanted hairs off your skin. These tasks can be time-consuming, uncomfortable, and even costly. If only there was a simpler way to remove the hair? Well, there is!
Laser hair removal is a revolutionary scientific procedure which can remove unwanted hair and cause it to stop growing altogether. It involves targeting the follicles of the unwanted hair with a strong pulsating light beam. The follicles will gradually become damaged from this light beam until they are no longer able to new hair.
The procedure can be administered on virtually any area of the body which has unwanted hair. The most popular areas for hair removal are the bigger ones like the abdomen, chest, arms, legs, and back. You can also get it done on your toes, chin, thighs, shoulders, underarms, fingers, and lower lip too. If you want a full treatment to your face, let us know and we can accommodate your wishes.
The Number of Treatments
You won’t be able to completely destroy the hair follicles after one session. You will need at least 6 laser hair removal treatments to stop your hair follicles from growing hair in the future. Each session will make the follicles just a little bit weaker. However, you will begin seeing positive results after you complete just one session. Your hair will be slower to grow and may even look thinner too. The reason for this is that there are different cycles of hair growth. The follicles need to be targeted during their growth cycle for the treatment to be effective. Some people will need more sessions than others, depending on the current condition of their hair follicles.
What to Expect
Laser hair removal is not a surgical procedure. The worst that you will feel from the laser session is discomfort. Fortunately, there won’t be much discomfort because you will be given a cooling device which shields the upper skin layer from the heat of the laser. You also have the option of getting a topical anesthetic applied to the skin. If you want even more comfort, you can take an ibuprofen pain reliever before getting the procedure. With all this to limit the discomfort, you will be able to get through it just fine. The only other thing you need to do is shave your hairs beforehand. There is no need to pluck or wax them.
Laser hair removal procedures are not surgeries which means they are not invasive. Once you are finished with your session, you can leave the facility immediately and go about your daily life. The only thing you will need to do is shield the treated skin area from direct sunlight exposure for up to 1 week. You can still go to work and do all your other normal activities (assuming they don’t involve working outside). If they do, you will need to wear hats and shirts to protect the treated area.
